Panel #1 -- Today: Teaching Our History and Culture Post-“Racial Reckoning”
What’s fueling the backlash against “critical race theory” and toward banning anything in schools and libraries that might cause white/majority discomfort? How should we be teaching our own history, culture, and power in response, including pushing for ethnic studies and inclusive history curricula in K-12 schools? What innovations are we seeing that we can highlight and scale?
Panel #2 -- Tomorrow: Preparing for the Workforce of the Future (aka The Future of Tech Is Black)
Given the extraordinary times we are experiencing today, what do we need to do to prepare Black learners for the careers and workforce of the future? How do our companies and organizations need to change after the Great Resignation? How can we make sure Black workers thrive, not get left behind?
